SALAMA and the SADC

The procurement strategy of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) has been operationalized.
This has been developed in view of establishing, within the SADC area, an organization which will coordinate the management of the procurement chain and the supply of medecines and essential health products in the SADC region.

Information and experience sharing is done by the means of an electronic platform, particularly developed for that matter.
This database takes into account the procurement sources and the medication prices in Central Purchasing Units.
